Oh, dear two-wheel drive space van
How we love you so
You have charging ports, Bluetooth songs
On paved roads how fast you go!
But the road to our place of work -
She's anything but smooth
Complete with rocks, dirt, puddles
And the occasional root.
So when it rains, it pours
And not just from the sky
The road becomes a waterfall
And ceases to stay dry.
Our beloved space van tries
"You can do it!" we all shout
The engine roars up the hill
But the wheels keep spinning out.
So the space van parks at the bottom
Breakfast becomes a hike
We carry water up by hand
Each QB fifty pounds alike.
The two-wheel drive may sometimes fail
And make us wish we had a Jeep
But our space van will always be in our hearts
And dreams as we all sleep.
