Oh what a drain she was...she is
Sculpted by the hands
Of Erik and Max
New members, they are
Many thought them fools to take on such a challenge
But these two were ferociously determined
As dawn approached, the pair set out with pick-mattock and rogue hoe
Tenderly, the shaped the Earth
For not one, not two, but probably six hours
Some may call this slow
But that is not the case here
For this was the lads first drain
A drain so huge you may be able to see it from space
They dug and they scraped
They could even be seen on their hands and knees at times
Perfecting their masterpiece
Horses passed and carefully sauntered across Erik and Max’s work
The passersby thanked the lads for their hard work
It would be greatly appreciated come hunting season
The drain would help the terrible erosion problem on that section of trail
Big Bev would direct water off the trail
So that people could enjoy it for years to come
Erik and Max had done their job well.
