As we prepare for our off hitch in Telluride, we start to realize just how fast the fall season will be. September is creeping up on us. Our last hitch on Elbert is coming up. We've all become accustomed to life on the mountain, 8 days backcountry, for quite some time. It has been a very life-altering experience. Our crew has gone through various stages of emotions and morale, we are used to our early morning and early nights. It's weird that we are so susceptible to change yet we are so hesitant to leave this mountain. Elbert has graciously brought us together. Laughs on the mountain will be missed, the good and bad times. The crew will have helped create a new trail, we will have finished what we started from the beginning of July, now after weeks of hard work on Elbert, we will have to say our goodbyes to one of the best work places in the world.
