This last week our crew worked on the tenderfoot trail. With beautiful purple mountains stretching the horizon and tall slender pines that clawed at the sky we were reminded what an amazing experience and opportunity this has been. To work along side each other in such beautiful places helping each other and ourselves grow into better, stronger, more accepting and understanding people. Though i am very excited to see my family again and take a long, LONG shower, there was a veil of longing over my mind this week, a longing to better enjoy and digest the present as these were the last days i would spend working with this crew. We got into topics we hadn't yet opened and were exceptionally kind to one another as we realized how much we would miss each other. This experience couldn't be summed up in a few paragraphs, the struggles, the triumphs our crew faced over the last 2 months was very evident in our last week. I've gained so much from this experience and im sure my crew has as well and as we leave each other in the next few days we are sure to remember all of the amazing times spent with RMYC
