Life Lessons I Learned on Trail...

Updated: Jul 24, 2018

1. Friendship can (and will) be found within people that you may have never even spoken to in your "normal life."

2. Tortillas have at least 84 uses (probably more if you try hard enough).

3. You can actually endure a lot more physical (and mental) discomfort than you think.

4. The simplicity of life on trail gives your mind the freedom it needs to contemplate the more complex aspects of our existence.

5. It's okay to pick your nose (and even look at it - we won't judge.)

6. Your trail crew is like family - you may not get to choose them, but you get to love them.

7. Everyone poops different, and everyone thinks their way is the only way.

8. Things get weird after eating Thanksgiving in a pot; you don't question it, and often times, you don't talk about it.

9. Don't forget to soak your beans.

10. Nature wipes: great for some, but not for all.

11. It's good to appreciate the little things, like watermelon and shady trees.

12. Everyone you meet has something special and unique about them. It is important that you find and cherish these characteristics.

13. You don't need your phone as much as you think you do.

14. Vans can go to many more places than you'd expect.

15. Trust is key on your crew (unless you're playing assassin- in that case, trust no b*tch).

16. There's always time for reading.

17. You can find common ground with anybody, it just takes a little effort.

18. It really is possible to cook a dank meal for 10 people with $20.

19. "Hey, at the end of the day, we're family."

20. "Sometimes, you just gotta send it."
