The short term effects of Juniper trees are that they cause more dispersed fires that are less intense, as well as that they are not native to Wyoming. The main long term effect is that there are less birds of prey and more sage grouse.
The hardest part of this week of work has been acclimating to the elevation. Although we have been hiking into work every morning with the chainsaws, that is helping me get used to it faster.
